Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Export Import Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and controlling import activities on a day-to-day basis. If you possess excellent organizational skills, a strong understanding of customs regulations, and have supervisory experience, we invite you to apply.

 

Essential Duties:

  • Plan, direct, and control import activities on a day-to-day basis.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and suppliers, resolving concerns promptly.
  • Supervise import documentation.
  • Oversee the obtaining and processing of Customs release and other government agency releases.
  • Coordinate the release of goods from carriers, customs, or other governmental agencies.
  • Handle invoicing of import accounts according to SOP.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Extended periods of sitting, computer use, standing, and walking may be required.
  • Some light lifting may be necessary.

Other Skills/Abilities:

  • Understanding of Customs regulations, tariffs, and interpretations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong client service skills, responding promptly and professionally to client needs.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations using units of U.S. currency, weight, volume, and distance measurements.
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, email, and various PC-based software.
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills.

 

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 5 years related experience.
  • Minimum 3 years industry experience preferred.
  • Minimum three years of supervisory experience required.

 

Certifications and Licenses:

  • Professional certification may be required in some areas.
